I have worked for three years to bring back my language. The results at this point are much better than it was a year ago. It isn’t perfect, but it’s much better. In addition to speech therapy, I worked on language programs at home using products that I found online. I have relearned speech, understanding language, and writing words.

It’s really important to engage with the world. Talk to family and friends, slowly and as best as you can. Talk to other people with aphasia locally, if possible, or via ZOOM.
